OUR COMMITMENT
Ohana is Dead is committed to doing our best at limiting our carbon footprint with everything that we do. There are many companies and organizations that share our passion for carbon neutrality and we are excited to join the ranks in doing our part. Below are a few of the ways we are working toward offsetting our carbon footprint.
-
Our t-shirts are made from materials that are recycled from manufacturing scraps and upcycled polyesteruse, saving reusable textiles and plastic bottles from ending up in landfills. Our shirts also use a minimal amount of chemicals and water, lowering carbon emissions, and environmental pollution.

-
All of our packaging and shipping materials are recyclable or biodegradable. From the boxes and envelopes we use to ship your items, to the packing materials we use to make sure things arrive in one piece, you can recycle or compost everything we use to ship your orders.
-
We pride ourselves on offering rad mug designs that are both affordable and unique. As is the case with all ceramics made by hand, flaws happen, which means that some mugs just don't quite meet our standards to sell at regular retail prices. These types of mugs are called "seconds". Rather than throwing these mugs away like many producers do, we offer our seconds on a first come, first served basis at discounted prices to bars and restaurants for in-house use only, not resale. All profits from seconds sales will be donated to various non profit organizations working toward carbon neutrality. If you run a bar or restaurant and are interested in learning more about our current seconds offerings send us an email HERE.

In addition to working toward carbon neutrality, we are deeply passionate about ocean conservation. We are always working behind the scenes volunteering and support amazing organizations like Surfrider Foundation, Sea Shepherd, as well as many others. If you are interested in learning more about how you can lend a hand, send us an email or message on one of our social media accounts and we'd be happy to help you connect with organizations in your area!
We are constantly looking at new ways that we can continue to have a positive impact on preserving this giant rock we call home and hope that many of you will as well.
